President
I have lived my entire life surrounded by animals and became involved in animal rescue many years ago. Since moving back to Oklahoma within the last couple of years, I’ve witnessed the staggering number of innocent animals facing premature and often unnecessary ends due to overcrowded shelters. It has been a heart-wrenching realization that compelled me to step up in a much bigger way and become a strong advocate for these voiceless souls. I believe one of the most impactful ways to address this crisis is by focusing on spay and neuter programs and education to the community. By reducing overpopulation at its source, we can save countless lives and create a sustainable solution for our communities. Helping create We’re OK Foundation has been my way of contributing to a brighter future for these animals and fostering a more compassionate world. I am married to my incredibly supportive husband, Colton, have an amazing bonus kiddo, and work in the federal law enforcement field! You can often find me curled up at home with my furbabies and fosters.

Since I was a child I’ve had a deep love for animals, but my journey into rescue began when I moved to Oklahoma and realized the heartbreaking number of animals that face neglect, cruelty, and euthanasia. Witnessing the plight of these vulnerable animals pushed me to stand up and take action. I decided to dedicate myself to making a difference, even if it could only be one animal at a time. My goal became giving animals from high-risk situations a second chance, providing them with the love and care they deserve and, ultimately, helping them find forever families. As well as creating a platform to educate the community about the overpopulation and shelter crisis in America, shelter animals, and the importance of spaying and neutering. It's become my passion and purpose to breathe new life into animals that need it most, and there’s nothing more fulfilling than watching them transform and thrive. I couldn't do what I do without the unwavering support of my husband, Grant. His love and dedication shine through as he wholeheartedly embraces the rehabilitation of every animal we welcome into our home. I'm so grateful we're able to be making an impact, no matter how small it is.

For as long as I can remember, animals have been an important part of my life. Growing up, my family always had a variety of animals. That early connection to animals shaped who I am today, and it’s what led me to a lifelong commitment to animal rescue and advocacy. As an adult, I started by adopting one dog, but it wasn’t long before my involvement grew. I began fostering animals and becoming more active in efforts to speak out for those who couldn’t speak for themselves. While living in Iowa, I had the privilege of working with a bird rescue, helping to transport injured birds to safety. That experience reinforced the importance of giving animals a second chance at life. It was also in Iowa I adopted a dog who would had been transported out of Oklahoma in hopes of a second chance. He had been transported from Oklahoma, suffering from buckshot wounds in his hips and neck. His resilience was inspiring, but it also opened my eyes to the larger crisis happening in Oklahoma regarding animal welfare. When I later ended up moving to Oklahoma, I saw firsthand the severity of the situation—an overwhelming number of animals in need of care, rescue, and advocacy. These experiences solidified my determination to make a difference. I’ve dedicated myself to fostering, rescuing, and advocating for animals, knowing that every small action helps in the larger fight for their protection and well-being. Today, I continue to work toward creating a better future for animals, helping to raise awareness and promote the importance of rescue and responsible pet care in the face of Oklahoma’s animal welfare crisis. Together, we can be the voice for these animals and give them the chance they deserve. With the support of my amazing husband Don and animal loving children the reality of being able to help animals in need is possible.
