Meet Tan Man, a one-year-old Australian Kelpie and Blue Heeler mix with a heart full of adoration and adventure. Tan Man was dumped in the country as a pup inside a small kennel with his brothers and lived in boarding for over one year before his foster family took him in. Despite his rough start, you'd never be able to tell from his playful and loving spirit!
Our foster family only intended to flash foster him for a couple days in June, but he behaved so perfect that he is still with them months later! They shared, "He settled in near immediately with our house and was so respectful, we couldn’t believe he never stayed overnight in a home before. He is really intelligent, I’m confident you could easily train him for anything. Tan Man is our fifth foster ever and is honestly the most well-behaved and well-rounded pup. He is really easy to take care of. He's never had an accident inside our home and we can trust him to be alone and uncrated, but he loves his crate and will often lounge with the door open during the day."
Though sometimes initially shy, Tan Man quickly warms up and is always friendly. He gets along wonderfully with kids of all ages and dogs of all sizes. He loves going to dog parks and can spend all day there. Cats are untested but he's been around them at adoption events with no problems so he would likely do well with proper introductions. He has a lot of energy and loves to play, and he's always ready for cuddles, giving kisses, and belly rubs. Tan Man is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, does well in the car, and has no resource guarding issues. We are confident he would thrive in almost any home environment.
