Sophie is a 4-year-old, 50 lb pittie mix with a heart that’s bigger than her whole body. Life hasn’t always been easy for her, but through it all, she’s held onto her sweetness, her hope, and her deep, unconditional love for people.
Sophie is pure love wrapped in fur. Her favorite place is right next to you — or better yet, on you — melting into your lap like a living, breathing weighted blanket. She doesn’t just want to be near you; she wants to be with you. While she’s totally fine being left alone in a crate and has no separation anxiety, when you’re home, she’ll follow you from room to room, gently resting her head on your leg or curling up beside you just to feel close.
She’s endlessly affectionate, deeply loyal, and greets everyone she meets with joy — Sophie truly has never met a stranger. She’s wonderful with kids and brings a calming, gentle energy wherever she goes. Her eyes light up for car rides, squeaky toys, and anything soft and plush. She’s also a proud foodie and loves working for treats — training comes naturally to her because she’s eager to please.
Sophie is completely housebroken, and she’s so crate-trained that she’ll trot right in when asked. She’s a smart girl who just wants to make her people happy.
While she adores puppies, Sophie can feel overwhelmed by unfamiliar dogs, so she’d do best as an only pet or the first dog in a calm, loving home where she can slowly build confidence and felt safety before bringing in a young canine friend later. What she really wants is to be someone’s everything — their soft place to land at the end of the day.

Sophie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm and tick borne disease negative and has been on preventatives!
Our Rescue is 100% donation based all the way to adoption. We do not have set adoption fees, but we do require a donation to be made at the time of adoption. Donations go towards saving other animals and preparing them for their new lives in their new homes!
