Meet Jasper!
Found during a murder investigation in a small town, Jasper was a stray in the area and thankfully was able to find enough food to keep him from getting to the point of starvation like Sawyer. He pulled on the heartstrings of the investigators working the scene as he sought affection and even followed their cars down the road as they left. The moment We’re OK Foundation - An Animal Rescue got confirmation he was a stray and they had approval to take him in, they made the trek out and saved this precious boy!
Jas is learning how to be an inside dog but so far he is doing amazing! He likes other dogs of all sizes, is good with kids, good with goats, and has done well with calm cats, although prone to chase those that run as they are still new and exciting to him! Jas love hugs from his humans, rides well in the car, and is crate trained. He’s had no accidents with regular potty outings and is not destructive in the yard. He is so sweet and just adores your attention! Jasper isn’t a fan of being left alone but does much better paired with a dog friend who can assure him they’re safe and their people will come back for them. He would also be fine as an only dog with an experienced owner and/or someone who wants to be with him all the time!
Jasper is available for foster-to-adopt until he can be rechecked for heartworms, but he is through his treatment and doing great!
