Hammy is a one year old butterball with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is new to rescue but has already made an impression with his friendly, affectionate nature and irresistible charm.
Hammy is very people oriented and loves being with his humans. He appears to be dog friendly and enjoys meeting new canine friends. He has not yet been tested with cats. In his foster home he is working on potty training, crate training and manners and is making steady progress. He loves car rides, walks and does great with baths and nail trims. While he loves everyone he is very much like an excitable hippo when he’s feeling playful so we would not recommend him for a home with small children. He is so funny and will keep you laughing with his antics!
Hammy is looking for a home where he can be loved and included and continue learning what it means to be a cherished family dog. He was mistreated by his previous owner so will do best with a patient adopter who can help him feel safe as he settles into his forever home and learns all the manners and boundaries of life in a loving home.
Hammy will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm and tick borne disease negative before adoption!
Our Rescue is 100% donation based all the way to adoption. We do not have set adoption fees, but we do require a donation to be made at the time of adoption. Donations go towards saving other animals and preparing them for their new lives in their new homes!
